Bi-National Arts Institute Presents: Concert Without Borders


Our binational event, the Concert Without Borders, will be held on October 29, 2022, at 19:00.


The theme for this year’s concert will be “Youth and Migration.”


Regional and international artists have been invited to perform at this event, on both sides of the international border wall of Naco, Arizona, and Naco, Sonora, at the corner of south Humphrey’s Ave, and Naco Highway, east of the border entrance door. Guests who have been invited to perform at this concert include:

— Children from Greenway schools in Bisbee and Naco Arizona, Naco Sonora, and Cuahtémoc

— Desert Sounds Youth Mariachi Group, Phoenix

— Tecnologico de Monterrey

— Singers from La Coral Internacional

— Regional musicians

— Cirque roots (Tucson)

— Incandescence (Phoenix)

We are requesting donations to help make this event possible! A donation in any amount will be greatly appreciated.

Bi-National Arts Institute Offers Music Classes


The Bi National Arts institute is sharing the joy of music with students at Greenway Elementary school in Bisbee, and Naco Elementary/Middle School in Naco Arizona, through classes taught by Dr. Steve Barton and Ms. Liz Lopez.

At Greenway Elementary School, there are 30 students in second through fifth grade are participating in Dr. Barton’s and Ms. Lopez’s music program. Classes are taught twice a week.

All music students will be performing in late October 2022, at Greenway Elementary’s Literacy Night, and a Holiday performance will be given in December 2022.

At Naco Elementary School and Naco Middle School, there are 130 students in, third through eighth grade, participating in the music program, where students attend classes twice a week. There will also be a Holiday performance scheduled in December 2022.

On October 29th, 2022, all music students from Dr. Barton’s and Ms. Lopez’s classes at Greenway Elementary and Naco Elementary/Middle School will perform at the Concert Without Borders, with the Bi National Arts Institute. They will be joined by students from Naco, Sonora for this unique binational celebration of arts and culture.

Kurt Hauser offers Guitar Classes at Naco Library


Kurt Hauser has been teaching guitar to students, ages 5-15 years old, every Tuesday at the 20-30 Building in Naco. He has been having a lot of fun working the kids, and he is learning to speak Spanish while teaching!

Youth are creating a mural at the 20-30 Building in Naco, Sonora. We would like to thank the Central School Project and Ace Hardware for their generously donating paint for this project!
